CAROLINE DADLANI’S HIDDEN OASIS

Nestled on the 2nd floor of a converted residence just steps from Lincoln Road, discriminating shoppers will find CAROLINE DADLANI, a boutique filled with an exclusive collection of fashion and accessories gathered from some of the finest sources around the globe.

The gallery-like shop is presented with a worldly flair – from the exquisite scents offered in traditional atomizers, to the gorgeous jewels that glitter from their cases to the use of real furniture for display. Many of the beautiful European and Indian clothing and accessories are hard to find and may only be available in a few other places anywhere in the world.

Once inside the calm oasis above the bustle of the shopping district, visitors immediately encounter Dadlani’s eponymous stunning line of fine and fashion jewelry created from gemstones collected through her world travels. The jewelry is presented in partnership with a well-curated collection of hard-to-find fashion including many Indian designers such as Tarun Tahiliani, the most influential designer in India whose fashions are only sold in three stores in United States.

Other Indian designers available exclusively at Caroline Dadlani are Anju Modi, Payal Jain, Deepika Gehani, and Malini Ramani along with the jewelry of Hanut Singh, a rising star in the industry according to W magazine. Western clothing designers featured include YBF, American Vintage, Chan Luu, Om, Q, Language, Pete, Elizabeth Gillet, Future Paradise, Penelope, A Common Thread, Glam Souls, and Streets Ahead.

In keeping with the shop’s discerning atmosphere, Caroline Dadlani is also the only place outside of Fred Segal in Los Angeles to find the current “it” bag, British Blush B-Lush oversize leather bags which range in price from $400 to $600. Other exclusive accessory lines featured include evening and day bags by Meera Mahadevia, an Indian designer known as India's 'Kate Spade,’ a line of evening bags and flat sandals by Dadlani’s own label, Gusto leather bags from France, and jeweled evening bags by American designer Clara Kasavina which range in price from $400 to $800.

One luxurious perfume exclusively available in the United States at Caroline Dadlani is Fifi by Chachnil, while Dadlani is the exclusive Florida retailer for Italian Il Profumo Amouage by Oman ranging from $395 to $495, Parfums Delrae from France, and soon her own line derived from a blend of essential oils, L’ Othantique perfume which will also be a fixture in the shop’s offerings of candles and home scents along with Agraria candles, oils, and incense.

"I wanted to create a store where women could find original one of a kind jewelry and also be able to choose from designers that create unique lines of clothing or accessories that cannot be found on every corner,” says Dadlani.

“My own sense of style dictates that one should be original and unique. It was very hard to find special pieces to create that for myself. When I traveled I was always amazed by the beautiful items to be found and when I came home my friends would pour over my purchases and tell me that I should open a store...so I finally listened.”

Dadlani concludes, “I knew the store had to be different; I don't like shopping in the conventional sense because it is so frenetic. My store allows the client to slow down and enjoy the whole process in a calm and soothing environment. I equate it to dining in a three star restaurant as opposed to fast food. You relax, savor and take your time enjoying every morsel. "

CAROLINE DADLANI, located at 1056 17th St., 2nd Floor (staircase located at the rear of the building) in Miami Beach, is open Monday through Friday from 11am until 6pm and by appointment on Saturdays. For more information, call 305.672.3360 or www.carolinedadlani.com.
